Our Test: What Basic Mode Actually Does
We used the same 90-word climate change paragraph used in all our reviews. Basic mode output:
Original AI input:
"Climate change represents one of the most significant challenges facing humanity today. Rising global temperatures are causing widespread disruption to ecosystems, weather patterns, and human societies..."
Undetectable AI Basic output:
"Climate change is a really big deal and it's one of the toughest problems we're facing right now. Rising global temperatures are causing widespread disruption to ecosystems, weather patterns, and human societies... Human activities are mainly to blame for the rise in greenhouse gas emissions, which is causing big changes..."
What changed: Only 2 out of 7 sentences were modified — light synonym swaps ("represents one of the most significant challenges" → "is a really big deal"). The remaining 5 sentences were left identical to the AI original. This is why detectors still flag it at 87–100% AI.
